Who We Are

Our Mission

We are a Maryland 501(c)(3), run by Jamaicans living in the Washington, DC area. We work with at-risk youth in Jamaica, paying for the schooling their families cannot cover and staying with them after the supplies run out.

Our Purpose

“To provide charitable support to people and institutions within the educational system — improving the accessibility and delivery of education — and to build a leadership training center in Jamaica for at-risk youth.”

What We Do

Our Focus Areas

Leadership Training

Raising money to build a place in Jamaica offering leadership development, mentorship, and real preparation for work and adult life.

Books & Supplies

Collecting and shipping books, supplies, backpacks, computers, and printers to students and schools that have none.

Mentoring & Scholarships

Mentoring, scholarships, and outreach that keep a student in school and give them somewhere to aim.

Our members are teachers and graduates of Howard University, the University of Maryland, and Georgetown University. Several of them substitute teach at High Point, Roosevelt, and Northwestern.

We raise money three ways. Festivals like the JEPF Food & Wine Festival. Business sponsorships and our supporter directory. Direct donations. All of it goes to the programs and the training center in Jamaica.
