Five Ways Prince George's County Residents Can Help Children in Jamaica This Year

Not everyone reading this owns a business, and that's fine — most of the ways to help don't require one. Here are five concrete ways any Prince George's County resident can support kids in Jamaica and closer to home this year.

1. Volunteer. Book drives, packing days, and community events all run on volunteer hours. If you have a free afternoon, we can almost always use the help.

2. Donate. Whether it's books, school supplies, or a straightforward financial gift, donations go directly toward our programs — no overhead detour.

3. Sponsor. If you'd rather your support go toward something specific — a backpack, a shipment of books, a student's supplies — a sponsorship lets you see exactly where it lands.

4. Attend events. Showing up matters. Community turnout at fundraisers and drives is often what determines how big an impact a given event can have — check our Events page for what's coming up.

5. Add your business to the directory. If you own or work for a local business, listing it supports our mission while putting the business in front of customers who value that.

Any one of these helps. All five together change outcomes for real kids, in Prince George's County and in Jamaica. Thank you for being part of it.
